Yes. USSD voting runs on any handset with no data connection. Voters dial *657*65# to browse categories, or go directly to a nominee with *657*65*{code}# where the code is the globally sequential number assigned to that nominee. In most African awards programmes USSD is the single largest voting channel.
Every vote is written to an audit log with the voter, timestamp, channel and amount, and sessions are tracked per voter. Suspicious votes can be invalidated individually and results recalculated immediately, so the published figures always match the ledger behind them.
Yes. Voting categories are independent of nomination categories, and you can generate one-time or reusable voting codes to issue to your judges. That keeps a panel ballot closed to invited voters while public voting runs in parallel on the categories you choose.
You define vote bundles — pay-to-vote packs such as five votes for KES 50 — and set the price per bundle. Voters pay through M-Pesa STK push, Paystack, PawaPay or InstaSend, and revenue lands in the finance dashboard with commission and payout tracking already applied.
USSD transactions can settle after the session ends, so there is a dedicated reconciliation tool that works through pending votes chunk by chunk. You run it after closing a category and before calculating results, which means no legitimate vote is dropped and no duplicate is counted.
